AWA Steps Into Cyberspace |

| What's Happened, What's Happening Dear Friends of Amherst Writers & Artists, ![]() We invite you to visit the new AWA website, find us on Facebook, and attend one of our 2011 events. We also invite you to visit Pat Schneider's new website. Both websites were designed by Greg Correll and Barbara Werden. Their combined technical expertise and aesthetic wisdom have carried us into the 21st century. Affiliates continue to bring the AWA method around the world in a variety of languages. AWA workshops can be found in jails, homeless shelters, after school programs, facilities for the blind and those with special needs, college classrooms, senior centers, Alzheimer's units, and hospitals. No matter where the workshops happen, uncertain voices gain confidence. We also announce the Pat Schneider poetry contest held by AWA Press. Please see details below. The winner will be published in Peregrine, which is producing its latest edition this Spring. Thank you to all of our friends. We look forward to a new year of trainings and inspired connections! A Gift of Inspiration
Who is your favorite AWA writer? Someone in your workshop? Someone whose voice stays with you? Show appreciation to your favorite writer by donating $20 to AWA in his or her name. They will receive a card informing them of your donation and the knowledge that AWA continues its mission around the world. To date, over a dozen AWA writers have received this note of praise for their work. Choose your writer and let them know that they inspire you! |
